Forest Service Activities Report 2008: Total Forest Land (Forest and OWL) by Tree Species

The Forest Service Activities Report 2008 states some results of the First National Forest Census published in 1992 at beginning of its Tables Section: This is the table of total Forest Land by Species by Perfectures (NUTS level 3). Total Forest Land comprises the categories 'Forest' and 'Woodland', which itself are named 'Industrial Forest' and 'Non Industrial forest' in the original Census table. The exact meaning and definitions for these terms are not provided with the tables. Productive Forest, FAWS might apply for 'Forest'; OWL, Shrub, Macchia might apply for 'Woodland'.
