NATIONAL FOREST CONTRIBUTION TO GLOBAL CARBON CYCLE

Indicator monitoring carbon stock, i.e. the quantity of carbon fixed in Italy in the various forest reservoirs, and variation in carbon stock (carbon sink), which takes into account the carbon absorbed and the quantity released (emissions) due to fires, withdrawals and natural mortality of national forest ecosystems. The indicator provides an estimate of the carbon fixing capacity of Italian forests and their role in climate change mitigation strategies and the achievement of international commitments, from the Kyoto Protocol to the Paris Agreement, and in the context of EU commitments of the 2030 Climate and Energy Framework.

National Forestry Accounting Plan for the Republic of Croatia 2018: Forest Management Area for Croatia for the years 2000, 2009 and 2016

The table contains Forest Area figures of the Croatian 'Forest Management Area' officially reported to the European Commission and also considered under Kyoto Protocol definition: High Forest, Coppices, Cultures & Plantations, Maquias & Shrubs (see page 65 of regarding report: 'Same information level'), distinguished by three Forest Function types (Productive F., Strictly Protected Areas and Protective F.), three Forest types (Deciduous, Coniferous and Forest 'Out of yield' (Maquies & Shrubs) and six Main Tree Species types. Most recently (April 2019) the original webpage has been updated and only a reduced amount of four NFI datasets has been provided (Cycle I, II & III and a 'Change' table with 5-year averages).
