The objective of this guide is above all to provide users of the results of the Permanent Inventory of Forest Resources in Wallonia with all useful information relating to the objectives pursued by it, to the methodology (measurement methods, conventions, etc.) on which it relies on and to its limits, the nature of the data collected and various aspects of their processing as well as various facets of their valuation so that any analysis of results provided can be placed in a clearly defined context and avoid lead to misinterpretations.
