European Union flag

The Wales Census of Woodland and Non-Woodland Trees was authorised by the Forestry Commissioners, as empowered by the Forestry Act, 1967. After preparatory work on the method to be employed, field work for the Census started in September 1979. The reference date for the Census is 31. March 1980. It covers England and compares 1980 values also with 1965 and 1947 values.
