Inventory and Strategy for Sustainable Management and Protection of Virgin Forests in Romania - Extended English summary. During the period 2001-2004 a virgin forests project was carried out by the Royal Dutch Society for Nature Conservation (KNNV) in co-operation with Romanian Forest Research and Management Institute (ICAS). Other project partners were IUCNEuropean Office and independent European experts on forestry.
