The results of the second National Forest Inventory in Luxembourg (2009-2011)

A National Forest Inventory constitute an indispensable tool for the establishment of sustainable management of forest ecosystems. Indeed, the forest can guarantee in the long term all its multiple functions only if it is managed sustainably. Sustainable forestry requires information on the state, structure, dynamics and productivity of forests at the regional and national levels. This Report summarizes the results of the second National Forest Inventory in text, tables and graphs.
