The National Inventory of Soil Erosion (INES) is a homogeneous Geographic Information System on erosive processes for all of Spain___In 2001, the Ministry of the Environment, through the General Directorate for the Conservation of Nature, began work to start up the " National Inventory of Soil Erosion "___The works began in 2001 and its objectives are: O1.Detect, quantify and map the main erosion processes in the national territory_O2.Determine the evolution in time of the erosion processes by means of their continuous inventory_O3.Provide information to delimit as accurately as possible the priority areas of action in the fight against erosion, as well as to define and assess the actions to be carried out_O4.Serve as an instrument for the coordination of policies that affect soil conservation in the regions (autonomous communities), the State and the European Union.___It is structured in five modules :M1. Lamellar and trickle erosion_ M2. Erosion in gullies and ravines_M3. Erosion in depth (mass movements)_M4. Erosion in riverbeds_M5. Wind erosion
