Summary of the Forest Control Activities performed by the Forest Guards Unit Timisoara for 2016

Each of the 9 Garda Forestiera Units of Romania provides Excel tables on the controlled forest areas (ha) by 6 Ownership classes at NUTS level 3, plus the total for each GF Unit. Controlled forest area is subdiveded for three entities: the Forest Guards, Romanian Forest Research and Management Institute - ICAS and the Private Forest Owners. Besides forest area information there is data on number of controls (count and value lost) on illegal logging, abusive grazing, fire incidences, other forest surface reductions, transport of logs, Wood treating & trading facilities.
