National Forest Inventory, Republic of Ireland: Results

The information gathered in the National Forest Inventory (NFI) encompasses the traditional parameters, such as the area and species composition of the national forest estate and the growing stock (m3), as well as, for the first time in Ireland, information with regard to biodiversity, health and vitality, carbon content and soil type, for the entire forest estate.Data such as on minor tree species and natural regeneration are also included.
