European Union flag

The national estimates of forest resources in Slovenia are based on data aggregation from forest inventories conducted in 14 Regional Forest Management Units by the Slovenia Forest Service (SFS). It is a stand wise inventory with 105,000 permanent sampling plots in 93 local units and 408 forest districts. The 14 Regional Units from SFS are not identical to the 12 Statistical Regions of Slovenia (NUTS 3 level).
